Cine Club for Kids: Love & Friendship

Description

Every last Saturday of the month, from 10am to 1pm, children between five and twelve years old discover non-commercial kids movies. The films are selected for their quality and originality. In the creative environment of Wiels Centre for Contemporary Art, short films, innovative fictions, animation classics are screened. Parents who wish to attend the screenings are also welcome! After the movie a bilingual workshop (approximately 1 hour) allows children to unwind their imagination around the theme of the film. Participants experiment with different artistic disciplines, while a creative and sensitive approach to Dutch is also stimulated.

- Ijskastliefde

A hilarious story of a mouse and an elephant.

A couple wakes up in a garden where something is blooming...

- The Ball (Katja Roberts, 2010, UK, unspoken, 11')
A special friendship between a girl and a boy who have a common passion: football.

- The Bridge (Dina Velikovskaya, RUS, 2009, unspoken, 9')
A sweet animation film about a small girl and her father.

- Anna Lovenstein (Pauline Bureau, F, 2009, unspoken, 9')
The passage from childhood to adolescence, seen through the eyes of a little girl of eight years.

Workshop: Massage for children

In many cultures, massage is practiced within the family, to strengthen the bonds of friendship between brothers, sisters, parents,... We will learn a massage sequence, which is practiced fully clothed. The opportunity to discover the pleasure of giving and receiving!
