Sound performance/concert
Especially commissioned by WIELS and conceived by artist Paulina Olowska and artist and musician Anna Zaradny for Alina Szapocznikow, this special event marks the finissage of the first major solo exhibition of the sculptor outside of her native Poland. Mixing musical instruments and power tools, improvised and stylized elements, this sound performance/concert constitutes a new work by two contemporary artists in homage to the sculptural practice of Szapocznikow.
