About this event
Open Call for
Participation in 'work demonstrations' during the exhibition Franz Erhard Walther: The Body Decides at WIELS Contemporary Art Centre, Brussels.
WIELS is looking for enthusiastic candidates to spend 6 or more hours a week activating a part of the exhibition, which runs from February 22 to May 11th.
No special skills are required. Each candidate will get to meet the artist during a one hour training session (on February 17 or 18th) and then will be able to show the public how to use and activate historical works by the pioneering artist Franz Erhard Walther. Candidates will mainly be handling a selection of fabric elements related to Walther's famous First Work Set (1963-69), to be activated with visitors of the museum.
The exhibition is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, open from Wednesday to Sunday from 11.00 to 18.00. Late night openings until 21.00 on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. Candidates could arrange their own schedule, which would flexible.
No remuneration possible, but candidates will be named as contributors to the exhibition on the wall text, will be provided with a WIELS T-shirt and will receive a WE PASS (of a value of €30) that provides free entrance to all exhibitions as well as to our complementary program (lectures, films, performances, etc.), and many more advantages. Particularly involved participants will receive an additional special treat.
All ages welcome.
