About this event

In cinema, the straight line that delineates the counter in the frame of an image, always ultimately symbolises the possible crossing of a boundary. Through a selection of more than sixty film fragments, “The Promise of the Counter” details the staging of these “excesses” which often defy relationships of power or domination.
