About this exhibition
During one month, Dan Perjovschi daily presents a new drawing about the Belgian's life.
The Romanian artist Dan Perjovschi travels the world armed with a set of felt-tip pens and a notebook. At every destination, he measures the temperature, reads the local papers and keeps up with the news on the Internet. The witty statements he has left on the walls of museums and arts centres reflect his incisive views on current political events, everyday life and art. Perjovschi will be making his first trip to Brussels during the festival. He will be covering the walls of a studio at the Wiels contemporary art centre with liberating line drawings that make the viewer spontaneously smile. He has planned a cooperative venture with Le Soir et De Morgen and will also leave his mark in the public domain. One of his drawings will be projected on a large screen at the festival centre every day. There will be no avoiding the fact that in May 2008 Dan Perjovschi was here!
