Résidence

G. Küng studied at The Cooper Union in New York and subsequently at The Glasgow School of Art. She hopes that someone approaching her work will ask: "Shall I see this as a material, a 'picture' or an accumulation of actions?" This cognitive fluctuation allows metaphor to win out over likeness. Ultimately, this is a reflection of her interest in experimentation, diversion and change.

G. Küng has two upcoming exhibitions in early 2013, at the Austellungsraum Klingental, Basel; and at the Center for Contemporary Art, Glasgow.
